One thing I really like about stir-fried meals is that most people can make them pretty well. Part of the reason might be that it can be a lot of fun to make. It can be pretty fun to watch different materials sizzle until their tastes blend together. But I made this Tofu Vegetable Stir Fry so I could get both the health and taste benefits of tofu.
This delicious dish is made with slices of baby bok choy, carrots, onions, and the smooth, rich flavors of soy sauce and sesame oil. If we’re talking about foods that go well with rice, let’s go back to our Tofu Vegetable Stir Fry. The easy steps for making this dish are listed below.
How to Make Tofu Vegetable Stir Fry
Frying The Tofu
Sautéing And Boiling Some Of Our Vegetables
Heat 3 tablespoons of the same oil we used earlier in a wok. Then add 1 sliced onion and 4 crushed garlic cloves. Sauté these things together until the onion gets soft. Then add six sliced shiitake mushrooms and one sliced carrot to the mixture. We’ll also add 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and cook everything for 2 minutes in a skillet.
Adding Oyster Sauce, Tofu, And Some Of Our Final Ingredients
Add one tablespoon of oyster sauce. Put one-half of a sliced cabbage head, one sliced bunch of bok choy, and three-quarters of a cup of green peas in the wok. Throw everything together until it’s all mixed well, and then put the top on. Keep stirring this for three minutes.
Then take out the tofu we deep-fried earlier and add it to your blend. Add a half teaspoon of sugar, salt, and ground black pepper to taste to season the dish.
Making The Sauce Thick
This step is important because our smooth and thick sauce really sets our stir-fry meals apart from other recipes. Put 1 tablespoon of cornstarch and 3 tablespoons of water in a bowl to start. Now, mix all of these ingredients together and put them in the wok. Mix everything together, and keep cooking until the consistency you want is reached.
Add 2 teaspoons of sesame oil to the top to finish. After that, you can put everything in a bowl of your choice and serve it with cooked rice. This is great for a healthy and delicious lunch date with a special someone or with family and friends. Tell us what you think about this recipe in the comments!
